Candlelight Vigil For Overdose Awareness Is Tuesday In Wayne

The 6th annual vigil in support of those who have lost a loved one to addiction is Tuesday evening in the main entrance of Town Hall.

WAYNE, NJ — A candlelight vigil to remember those lost to a drug overdose, and to raise awareness about addiction and recovery, is scheduled for Tuesday in Wayne.

The Wayne Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse's 6th annual Overdose Awareness Candle Vigil is Aug. 22 at 7:30, in the main entrance of Wayne Town Hall.

Along with remembering loved ones who have died because of an overdose, the Wayne Alliance will also be providing resources and information for parents and students, as well as supporting those who are grieving.

Candles and flower seeds are available for the first 100 attendees. People may bring their own chairs for the vigil.

The Wayne Alliance invites members of the public to get involved as a volunteer, or attend the event to learn more about substance abuse prevention education.
