CBS Anchor Giving William Paterson University Commencement Speech

Kristine Johnson is co-anchor of CBS' 5 and 11 p.m. news broadcasts.

WAYNE, NJ — CBS anchor Kristine Johnson will give the keynote address at William Paterson University's undergraduate commencement ceremony May 18.

Johnson co-anchors the 5 and 11 p.m. news on CBS. She joined CBS in 2006 and has won several Emmy awards. She also anchors the network’s digital platform CBSN, is a fill-in anchor for "CBS This Morning," and has filed reports for "CBS Sunday Morning."

Johnson moderated two New Jersey gubernatorial debates held at William Paterson last year.

“Kristine Johnson is an exemplary role model for our students,” President Kathleen Waldron said in a news release. "We are delighted that she will speak to our graduates about the importance of taking an active role in public discourse, which is critical in today’s society.”
