Cedar Crest Celebrates 25 Years with Silver Anniversary Celebration

Cedar Crest, an Erickson Senior Living community, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary with a spectacular silver anniversary celebration on October 6, bringing together residents, team members, and guests to honor a quarter century of community, connection, and vibrant living.

The themed event, "Eight Wonders of the World: A World of Cultures, a Lifetime of Stories," highlighted Cedar Crest's remarkable growth since its founding. Guests enjoyed an immersive experience featuring cuisine, décor, and cultural experiences inspired by the Seven Wonders of the World, culminating in the reveal of the evening's "Eighth Wonder" - Cedar Crest itself.

Since welcoming its first residents, Cedar Crest has experienced tremendous growth and transformation. What began with four residence buildings, one clubhouse, and one restaurant has expanded into a thriving campus featuring 14 residence buildings, three clubhouses, eight restaurants, multiple fitness centers, an aquatics center, outdoor dining venues, an indoor golf simulator, bocce and pickleball courts, community garden spaces, and a wide array of amenities designed to support an active, engaged lifestyle.

Resident Carolyn Barbara, who moved to Cedar Crest in 2018 after years of visiting her parents at the community, has witnessed that evolution firsthand.

"I was here a lot visiting my folks," said Carolyn. "When it was time for me to move, I looked at a few other places, but the more I looked, the more Cedar Crest made sense."

Today, Carolyn enjoys many of the amenities that have become part of the Cedar Crest lifestyle, including pickleball, bocce, the fitness and aquatics centers, and her community garden plot.

"The diversity of residents and staff here is worthy of celebration," she said. "It is a wonderful environment!"

"This anniversary is a celebration of the people who make Cedar Crest such a special community," said Executive Director Ryan Fitzpatrick. "We are proud of our rich history and look forward to continuing to provide an engaging lifestyle, exceptional amenities, and a strong sense of belonging for generations to come."
