Cedar Crest Residents Celebrate Older Americans Month at “Fruits of Our Labor” Craft Fair

Residents showcased and sold unique, handmade items including jewelry, paintings, quilted goods, and handcrafted wood pieces.

In celebration of Older Americans Month, Cedar Crest, an Erickson Senior Living community in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, hosted its annual “Fruits of Our Labor” Resident Craft Fair on May 2. Residents showcased and sold unique, handmade items including jewelry, paintings, quilted goods, knitted scarves, and handcrafted wood pieces.

“This event is a wonderful reflection of the creativity, passion, and talent of our residents,” said the Community Resources Coordinator Melissa Hardison. “Older Americans Month is the perfect time to celebrate not only what our residents create, but also the vibrant, active lifestyle they enjoy here.”

The craft fair is one of many events held on Cedar Crest’s scenic campus, where residents enjoy amenities such as community gardens, bocce, and a putting green. For more information, visit CedarCrest.com.
