Jennifer Pulizzano is a 10-year cheerleading head coach at Wayne Valley. She runs a cheerleading camp in preparation for the first game of the season.
"There are three teams freshman, junior varsity, and varsity, there's about 70 girls in the whole program," Pulizzano said, referring to the large group dispersed on the field in multiple groups that plan their own routines.
The coach said cheerleading is an athletic sport.

"We are classified under the Sports Guide and the athletic department so I definitely believe it is an athletic sport."
