Court Says No To Class Action TGI Friday's Drink Lawsuit
The lawsuit cannot proceed as a class action suit. The lawsuit began over a $1.59 drink discrepancy.

A lawsuit involving a New Jersey woman against TGI Friday's will not proceed as a class action, a state appeals court has ruled.
Debra Dugan claimed the price $1.59 price difference and the fact that the restaurants don't print drink prices on their menus violated the state's consumer protection laws and exploit customers.
A three-judge panel of the state appeals court recently reversed the class action status a judge granted the case in 2012, NJ.com reported.

The panel wrote that people who either ask what the prices of drinks were or who didn't look at the menus when ordering could not necessarily claim damages, the report said.
The 2012 meant that anyone who ordered drinks without a price attributed to them at any one of the company's 14 new Jersey restaurants from 2004 to 2014 could make a claim, the report said.
