Esiason said he still loves Carton and called his arrest "shocking," and said he would continue the show without him if need be, Newsday reported.
"It's all shocking. But the people that reached out to me on Twitter, the people that reached out to me personally, the people that were sending emails and everything else just blew me away, absolutely blew me away," Esiason said, adding that he hopes Carton "lands on his feet."

Carton, 48, Michael Wright, 41, of Upper Saddle River, and another person are charged with wire fraud, securities fraud and conspiracy, the U.S. Attorney's Office for New York's Southern District said in a statement.

Carton, Wright and the other person worked together to get investors to pay them millions of dollars that would be used to purchase blocks of tickets, which would then be resold on the secondary market, said Joon Kim, acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
The three allegedly used the millions they fleeced investors out of to pay off personal debts, including some to casinos.
