Daily COVID Case Numbers Are Dropping In Wayne Township: Mayor
Mayor Christopher Vergano gave an update on coronavirus totals and vaccines during his weekly news briefing.

WAYNE, NJ — A 47-year-old township man has died from COVID-19, Mayor Christopher Vergano announced this week.
Despite the newly reported death, township coronavirus numbers are trending in a better direction than in December and January, when daily cases reached the mid-30s, on average.
Through the first week of February the township has reported 127 new cases of the coronavirus, an average of 18.1 per day, Vergano said.

Additional doses have also come in for those who are scheduled to get a second dose in the coming days, Vergano said.
Appointments are still difficult for residents to get, Vergano said, due to the volume of people trying to sign up, and the limited amount of spots.
