WAYNE, NJ - Dawson Sieradzky was named Boys Fencer of the Year this season by NJ.com.
Sieradzky has an overall record of 264-33. He went 95-7 this season and is a two-time state champion in sabre and a two-time First Team, All-State selection, the website reported.
Sieradzky said it was a "dream season." He led the Patriots to an 11-2 record with the last loss coming against eventual state champ Ridge in the state semifinals.

His father worked with Sieradzky everyday before going to the Rising Star Academy with him. He lost a lot at first and became very discouraged, the report said, but eventually got better and started winning.
He has his choice of colleges whittled down to five: The University of Pennsylvania, Ohio State, New York University, Princeton University, and Stanford University.
