DePaul Catholic Defensive Back Switches Schools, Will Attend Michagan
Michael Dwumfour had committed to playing collegiate football at Penn State University. Instead, he will join Kareem Walker at Michigan.
WAYNE, NJ – DePaul Catholic defensive tackle Michael Dwumfour announced Monday he has committed to playing college football at the University of Michigan, shortly after revealing that he was no longer committed to playing at Penn State University.
“Blessed and humbled to say that I am committing to the University of Michigan,” Dwumfour wrote on Twitter. “It’s been my dream school and I would like to thank God for giving me this opportunity.”
Dwumfour, a 6-foot-2, 286-pounder, committed to Penn State last summer, according to the Detroit News.

“Unfortunately, my heart is somewhere else and I will be decommitting from the PSU,” the three-star recruit said on Twitter. “It’s been fun to be part of the family, but Happy Valley isn’t where I belong.”
According to The Michigan Insider, Dwumfour visited Michigan earlier this month.

Dwumfour is a former teammate of Michigan freshman Kareem Walker. Walker was a four-star running back at DePaul and enrolled early at the university.
