DePaul Catholic Loses To St. Joseph's In Non-Public Group 3 Final
BREAKING: The Spartans lost their bid to defend their championship at MetLife Stadium.
WAYNE, N.J. — Nick Patti just couldn't be stopped.
The St. Joseph's quarterback had 78 yards rushing, more than 200 throwing, and tossed four touchdowns in St. Joseph's 26-17 to win the Non-Public Group 3 championship Saturday. It is the program's 18th sectional championship.
DePaul, the defending champions, played the Green Knights close. It was 7-7 after the first quarter. The Spartans were down by three at halftime, 10-13.

But St. Joseph's couldn't be stopped. The team had three sacks and nearly 400 yards of offense and 18 first downs.
DePaul finished the season 6-6.
