Drunk Woman Assaults Officers At Wayne Police HQ: Cops

WAYNE, NJ — A drunk woman assaulted two police officers while she was being held at police headquarters early Sunday morning, authorities said.

Kristina A. Solano, 32, was driving a 2016 blue Subaru Outback on Route 23 South at 12:20 a.m., when police stopped her, said Detective Capt. Laurence Martin.

Solano's eyes were bloodshot and watery and she couldn't stay in her lane when driving, Martin said. She refused to listen to officers and resisted arrest, he said.

While being booked at police headquarters, Solano refused to take a breath test and argued with police, Martin said.

Solano assaulted Lt. Robert Franco and Officer James Franco while being taken to a holding cell; Voight's right knee was injured as a result, Martin said.

Solano, of Bronx, New York was charged with assault on police, resisting arrest, driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a breath test. She was later released to a responsible adult, the captain said.
