WAYNE, NJ — Election Day is Nov. 8, but New Jersey's early-voting period will begin soon. Garden State residents will be able to cast ballots in-person from Saturday through Nov. 6.

Early voting allows all registered voters to cast their ballot in-person, via a voting machine, during a nine-day period before Election Day.

You can cast a ballot at any early-voting location in your county. But the Wayne Main Library (461 Valley Rd.) will represent the township's early-voting spot, but there will be nine locations in Passaic County where you can cast an early vote.

When can I access in-person early voting?

The early-voting period runs from Saturday through Nov. 6. The hours for each location are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

No appointment is necessary. Accommodations will be made for voters with disabilities, according to state officials.

What if I'm registered to vote by mail but now want to vote in-person early?

If you're registered to vote by mail in the 2022 General Election, you can cast your ballot during early, in-person voting or on Election Day via a provisional ballot provided by your early-voting location or polling place.
