Electronics Expo Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Company only has two stores currently, one in Wayne, another in Union.

Electronics Expo, a Wayne-based department store chain that was once said to be one of the fastest-growing of its kind in the Northeast, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Sunday night, NorthJersey.com reported.

The chain had eight stores at its peak, but most of them closed last year. Only two stores remain — the Wayne location near the Willowbrook Mall and another in Union.

The website reported the company has assets of between $1 million and $10 million and liabilities of $1 million to $10 million, citing documents filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the state of New Jersey.
