Elite Lacrosse Team To Host Clinic In Wayne

The Boston Megamen, a post-collegiate box lacrosse team, will run the clinic on April 11.

A Boston-based post-collegiate box lacrosse team will hold a clinic for grade school athletes at Turf City in Wayne.

The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

The clinic is open to players in grades three through eight.

The fee is $30 and is being used toward fundraising for the Boston Megamen travel team.

Box lacrosse is a variation of lacrosse that is typically played indoors with shorter sticks and six players on a side.

“We hope to use this clinic to not only raise funds, but connect and spread our love and knowledge of box lacrosse to NJ youth players,” says team captain PJ Martin. “(New Jersey) is a region where the box game is growing in popularity.”

Martin notes in the clinic’s press release that the Boston Megamen are the sole representative from the United States competing at an upcoming championship event, the Aleš Hřebeský Memorial.
