Historic recordings of jazz-influenced American Klezmer performed from 1916 though the 1950s by renowned artists of the era will be featured in this finale of a two-part series. The recordings include Lieutenant Frankel’s Orchestra, Harry Kandel’s Orchestra, and all-time great clarinetists Naftule Brandwein and Dave Tarras. Light refreshments will be served.
Klezmer, a Jewish musical genre, migrated to America from Eastern Europe around the turn of the 20th century.
