Le Danse Announces 2013 Competition Teams

This month, Le Danse
held an audition for dancers for their upcoming 2013 competition team.  All students came prepared to audition in the
subjects of jazz, lyrical & tap.  The
studio’s directors, Diane Raimo & Patty De Dio
were very eager to audit their students at the audition.  Staff members were prepared with new
choreography suited to challenge the students who ranged in age from 9-16 years
old.  The audition started with a lyrical
routine that was loved by both the dancers & directors.  Following the lyrical portion of the audition
was jazz choreography and then the evening finished up with some tap
choreography.  Following each routine,
the dancers were separated into duets, trios, small groups & also as
solos.  Directors & staff members
watched carefully & jotted down notes on their score sheets.  At the end of the night, all dancers were
dismissed from the audition & directors & staff members remained at the
studio choosing students for their competition routines that will be competing
in 2013 at regional competitions throughout New Jersey. 
Le Danse, located at 580 Valley Road in Wayne for the past 28
years, has recently been voted as 2012 Wayne Patch Readers Choice for Best
Dance Studio.  The studio maintains a
reputation of training & producing excellent dancers who graduate from the
studio and move on to be teachers and performers.  Many of these dancers were part of Le Danse’s competition teams throughout the years.  If you have been following Le Danse on their Facebook page or on the Wayne
Patch, you will see that each year they are awarded top honors for their
competition team work as well as special judges for choreography, performance
quality, costumes, sportsmanship, creativity and Le
Danse has consistently won a studio award for Good
Sportsmanship & Best of Show.  The
studio & staff is very excited to begin the new competition season and
after much hard work by the students, Le Danse
is proud to congratulate the following students for being chosen as Le Danse’s 2013 Competition Team:  Gianna Raimo, Valerie Zoon, Allie De Simone,
Allie Simone, Tarrah Bilto, Mollie Gutt, Ashley Hulbert, Brittany
Hulbert, Alexandra O’Connor, Jenna Mainero and Malina
Hubinger.  Le Danse
also congratulates their Mini-Team members, Omayra Fernandez, Eva Morante,
Sarah Indomenico and Brooke Scott and their Junior Team members, Kayla Gutch,
Kaylyn Amerkanian, Natalie Ritacco, Mattison Indomenico and Tarra Bilto.  Please stay updated on monthly events &
postings by Le Danse.  Competition classes as well as recreational
classes began earlier this month,, however the studio is still taking new
registrations throughout the fall season. 
The curriculum includes Preschool programs for ages 2-4, Childrens’
Workshops for ages 5-7, as well as Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary,
Hip Hop, Gymnastics, Musical Theatre, Boys Classes, Adult Courses, Wedding
Choreography and Dance Team Training.
