The annual Motorcycle Skills and Show fundraiser for Special Olympics New Jersey will take place on Sunday, June 26 in the parking lot between Sears and Macy’s at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ. The annual Motorcycle Run leaves from Rockaway Townsquare Mall and ends at Willowbrook Mall on the same day.
This fundraiser combines three family-friendly motorcycle events into one great time for all. Registration required for participants. Admission for spectators is free. MOTORCYCLE RUN: A 50+ mile police-escorted ride through Morris and Passaic counties to honor the memory of New Jersey State Trooper Marc Castellano and dedicated to NJ Law Enforcement killed in the line of duty in 2010. Check-in from 8 to 9 a.m. at Rockaway Townsquare Mall. Ride departs at 9:15 a.m. and ends at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne. All bikes welcome.
OFFICER SKILLS TRAINING COMPETITION: Motorcycle Cops show off their road talents in six categories and vie for trophies showing they are "the best of the best." Practice Saturday, June 25 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne. Contact jbotbyl@pcsheriff.org. Special Olympics New Jersey provides year-round sports training and athletic competition free-of-charge for more than 22,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This provides continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
