Victim ID'd In Fatal Wayne Fire: Prosecutor
The Ratzer Road house was fully engulfed in flames, authorities said.

WAYNE, NJ — Authorities have identified the victim who died in the Ratzer Road house fire Thursday night.
Robert Freudenberg, 64, of Wayne, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment where he died of his injuries, said Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes. She did not say if Fraudenberg lived at the house.
Police and firefighters responded to an emergency call about the fire at 965 Ratzer Road at 7:42 p.m. Thursday, Valdes said.

The fire "fully engulfed" the single-family home, she said.
Police tried to get inside the house but could not "because of the conditions" of the fire, Wayne Police Detective Capt. Laurence Martin said.

The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes/Arson Unit is directing the investigation of the fire. The Wayne Police Department is also investigating the fire.
