Fattal, Prassakos, Wentink Lead Wayne Board Of Ed. Election
With almost all districts reporting, the three candidates hold significant leads in the highly anticipated race.

WAYNE, NJ — If the results become official, the Wayne Township Board of Education will have three new faces. Michael Fattal, Haralampos Prassakos and Iveta Wentink each hold significant leads with almost all township districts reporting.
Results don't become official until the Passaic County clerk certifies them. But the current tallies would unseat Board Members Eileen Albanese, Matthew Giordano and Stacey Scher.

The election attracted a crowded field and followed months of tense school board meetings. The meetings hit a boiling point Thursday. Five of the nine board members didn't show up to the public portion of the meeting. Since the governing body failed to meet quorum, the last meeting before the election didn't happen.
The three candidates running for re-election, along with Board Member Michael Bubba, showed up.
