Here were some of the allocations for projects throughout the area:

  • $250,000 to 4Cs of Passaic County to improve access to early childcare and education
  • $24,825,000 for operations and maintenance of the Newark Bay, Hackensack and Passaic Rivers
  • $600,000 for the Passaic River Flood Warning System
  • $95,000 to the Borough of Woodland Park for the Diane Grimes Memorial Park Improvement Project
  • $833,000 for the City of Passaic Pedestrian Greenway Project
  • $360,000 to the City of Paterson for Wrigley Field rehabilitation
  • $223,000 to the Borough of Prospect Park for main sewer line replacement

"The federal funding of the Peckman River Flood Mitigation project is remarkable!" Little Falls Mayor James Damiano said via Rep. Mikie Sherrill's office. "This is a long-term and permanent solution that will provide so many residents of Little Falls the relief that they deserve. No longer will the residents in the Jackson Park section of town need to live in fear that their homes, their belongings, or their lives are in danger from the Peckman River."

The funding for Totowa PAL will get used to purchase and install poles and new LED lights for the football field and Lincoln 90 baseball field at the Totowa PAL Fields complex. The facility will use the lights for scheduled sporting events, and several community groups will also utilize them for activities on the fields throughout the year.
