FEMA Center In Passaic Co. To Close Saturday
FEMA opened the center in Passaic to help people affected by the remnants of Hurricane Ida.

PASSAIC, NJ — FEMA's Disaster Recovery Center in Passaic County, which opened in the wake of Hurricane Ida, will permanently close at 5 p.m. Saturday. FEMA has operated at the Senior Center and City Hall Building on 330 Passaic St., Passaic.
Survivors can find their nearest Disaster Recovery Center at fema.gov/drc, or text DRC and their current ZIP Code to 43362.
Passaic is among 11 New Jersey counties that became eligible for federal disaster relief after Hurricane Ida, which killed 30 people in the state. FEMA says the easiest way to apply for assistance is by visiting disasterassistance.gov.

If it's not possible to apply online, call 800-621-3362 (TTY: 800-462-7585). The toll-free telephone lines operate from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., seven days a week. If you use a relay service, such as video relay service, captioned telephone service or others, give FEMA the number for that service.
When you apply for assistance, have the following information readily available:

- A current phone number where you can be contacted.
- Your address at the time of the disaster and the address where you are now staying.
- Your Social Security number, if available.
- A general list of damage and losses.
- If insured, the policy number or the agent and/or the company name.
