A candidates night is Oct. 29. 7 people are vying for 3, 3-year seats on the board.
WAYNE, NJ — The seven municipal Board of Education candidates will discuss the issues important to the district at a candidates night Oct. 29.
The event will be at the Municipal Complex from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the council chamber.
Seven candidates are running for three, three-year seats on the board: Incumbents Gail Okun, Stacey Scher, and Eileen Albanese and challengers, Brian Quintavella, Pranvera Gencarelli, Matthew Giodrdano, and Christian Smith.

Smith was a one-term former trustee who lost his re-election bid last year.
Scher, Albanese, and Quintavella received the endorsement of the Wayne Education Association, the union that represents about 900 teachers and secretaries who work in the Wayne Public School District. (See related: Wayne Teachers Union Endorses School Board Candidates)
