Flood Watch Issued In Passaic County With Heavy Rain Possible Monday
Slow-moving showers and thunderstorms could produce "excessive" rainfall of up to 3 inches in some parts of northwest NJ, said forecasters.
WAYNE, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Wayne Township and Passaic County through Monday evening, as heavy rain could cause waterways to rise and trigger flash flooding.
"Slow moving showers and thunderstorms today may produce excessive rainfall leading to accumulations of 1 to 3 inches or more in a short amount of time," said the National Weather Service.
"Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop."
