Food And Fun: Dave & Buster's Prepares To Open In Wayne

The restaurant and arcade hosted an open house at its 2nd NJ location, at the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, on Tuesday. It opens Wednesday.

WAYNE, NJ — Dave & Buster's Tuesday gave people a taste of what the restaurant and arcade will offer when it opens Wednesday.

The national chain's second New Jersey location will open Wednesday at the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne above Sears. The location employs more than 300 people.

The 48,000-square-foot location features 12 satellite dishes that will bring sports down to the bar featuring dozens of HDTVs.

There are more than 165 arcade games, including one based on the upcoming "Tomb Raider" movie, multiplayer Super Mario Kart, "Wheel of Fortune" and the "Madden" football franchise. There's also classic boardwalk-style skee ball, basketball.

Tickets can be turned in for prizes like XBoxes and iPads to Beats By Dre headphones.

If you go, bring your appetite. There are one-of-a-kind cocktails, including adult snow cones, CoronaRitas and others. Food includes Ancho Caesar Lettuce Wraps, the Buffalo Wing Burger and BBBacon Burger, with three kinds of bacon, and Chicken and Waffle Sliders.

The Wayne location is Dave & Buster's 109th. The first New Jersey location opened in Woodbridge Nov. 14.

There is private event space that is rentable for parties of 15 to 120 people and a sports lounge for up to 200 guests. There is also a billiards area by the bar.

Dave & Buster's is located on the second floor of the Sears store. It is open Sundays to Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to midnight, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays.
