'Get Me Spider-Man': Masked Duo Wanted For Passaic Co. Arson, PD Says

CLIFTON, NJ — The Clifton Police Department and the editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle have something in common: they both want you to get them Spider-man. But unlike Marvel Universe newspaper publisher J. Jonah Jameson, police already have a photo of a superhero imposter, labeling two masked individuals as suspects in an arson case.

A patrolling officer saw heavy smoke and flames coming from a building at about 12:30 a.m. June 30. The fire came from a medical office building at 721 Clifton Ave., police said. The Clifton Fire Department extinguished the blaze, but further investigation determined that arson took place, according to law enforcement.

Clifton police shared a surveillance image Tuesday of two people who they say entered the area before the fire. The image is blurry, but police made out that one suspect is wearing a Spider-Man mask. The other suspect appears to be wearing another character mask of some sort, they said.
