Gov. Murphy Speaking At William Paterson Commencement: What To Know
The governor will also receive an honorary doctorate from the university at William Paterson's 200th Commencement on Wednesday.
WAYNE, NJ —More than 2,500 graduates of William Paterson University will be celebrated Wednesday at a historic commencement for the Wayne-based state university. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy will be the keynote speaker, and also receive an honorary doctorate at the ceremonies in Newark.
Murphy will address undergraduates at WP's 200th commencement ceremony at the Prudential Center (25 Lafayette Street). The university will grant the an honorary doctor of humane letters degree.
Tickets are not required for the commencement events, which begin at 9 a.m. on May 31. Those who cannot attend may watch live online — click here.

Other special guests for the 2023 commencement include alumni from the Class of 1973 and members of the Pioneer Society, alumni who graduated at least 50 years ago.
