Governor Nominates Assemblyman Scott Rumana, A Former Wayne Mayor, For State Judgeship
Rumana was first elected to the State Assembly in 2007.

WAYNE, N.J. — Scott T. Rumana, (District 40) a former township mayor and Republican assemblyman, was nominated to be a state Superior Court judge in Passaic County, the governor's office announced Thursday.
Rumana is Republican whip of the Assembly. He has served in that body since being first elected in 2007.
Rumana was a Wayne Township councilman from 1994 to 1997. He was appointed to the Passaic County Freeholder Board in 1996 and elected to a full term in 1997.

He was elected mayor of Wayne in 2001 and again in 2005; he was also Passaic County Republican Chairman.
Rumana has worked for years to find a long-term solution to the chronic flooding that continues to plague the Passaic River Basin.
