Grassroots Groups Want To Meet With Rep. Frelinghuysen

BlueWaveNJ and NJ 11th For Change will lead a coalition to Washington, D.C. Wednesday.

WAYNE, NJ — Two grassroots organizations are going to Capitol Hill Wednesday to demand action from their representatives, including Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ-11).

The groups have requested a formal meeting with Frelinghuysen, who has not held a town hall meeting since 2011. The congressman's office has not yet confirmed a meeting will be held, the groups said in a statement.

There is a bus leaving from Montclair for Washington, D.C.

The groups are asking participants and constituents to write personal messages for Frelinghuysen.

“We are determined to send a clear signal to our Representatives that this won’t just be business as usual," said Declan Carney, BlueWaveNJ event leader. "Our voices will be heard and we will hold our representatives accountable for their decisions.”
