Heart 'n Hands Mission 6th annual Blessing Bag Project

Heart ‘n Hands Mission of St. Timothy Lutheran Church is a mobile outreach ministry which provides good quality donated clothing and personal care items to the homeless and working poor at food pantries and soup kitchens in Paterson, Passaic and Hoboken. Heart ‘n Hands Mission is now supporting 2,000 individuals with our monthly distributions. We also support Wayne Interfaith Network and members of the Wayne community. Heart ‘n Hands Mission is 100% volunteer and 100% of all monetary donations go directly to meet the needs of the homeless and working poor.

Our 6th annual Blessing Bag Project has begun! A Blessing Bag is a gallon food storage bag containing 22 travel size Personal Care Items and snacks. Personal Care Items are essential in maintaining good health and hygiene and are often too costly for those on limited or minimal incomes.

The Blessing Bag Program is a perfect opportunity for school groups, congregations, businesses and clubs to help those less fortunate during the holidays. We are looking for donations of these specific new travel size items: toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo, shave gel, deodorant, Gold Bond Medicated Powder, hand sanitizer, and body wash.

We also encourage you to write notes of cheer or encouragement. Children’s drawings are a welcome addition to this holiday gift which will be distributed to 7 different sites in December.

All Blessing Bag donations can be brought to Heart ‘n Hands Mission at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 395 Valley Road, Wayne. Monetary donations are also a tremendous help. Your tax-deductible donation can be made out to Heart ‘n Hands Mission and sent to the church address above. The deadline for donations is November 11, 2018.
