Here's Your Chance To Walk With The Mayor In Wayne
Mayor Christopher Vergano will walk with the people during the Wayne Walks kickoff event in September.
WAYNE, NJ — A new wellness initiative will give residents of Wayne Township the change to walk with the mayor.
Wayne Walks is a wellness effort from Mayor Christopher Vergano which starts on Saturday, Sept. 5.
At that kickoff event, Vergano will join the walk, which begins at 10 a.m. in Waks Memorial Park.

"Wayne Walks is a Mayor’s Wellness initiative that has Wayne residents up and moving in fun, exciting ways," reads the event description. "Wayne Walks encourages social activity among friends while setting attainable goals for a healthy lifestyle."
According to the description, the walks are 1-mile, and there are more than a dozen neighborhood walks to choose from weekly.
