How Many Inches Of Snow Is Wayne Getting, And When?
Forecasters updated snow predictions for the Wayne area. Here's what they expect for the upcoming storm.

WAYNE, NJ — The National Weather Service says that the storm predicted to hit the Northeast overnight is likely to drop 2-5 inches of snow on Wayne overnight and into Friday.
Here's the National Weather Service's forecast for the Wayne area as of 1:30 p.m. Thursday:
- Thursday night: Snow, mainly after 2am. Low around 26. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
- Friday: Snow, mainly before 11am. High near 34. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northwest wind 5 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
- Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 18. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
- Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 32. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.
The National Weather Service placed Wayne and much parts of northeast New Jersey under a winter-weather advisory from midnight to noon Friday. Plan on slippery road conditions, which will impact morning commutes, the agency said.

Snowfall rates could range between 0.5-1 inches per hour in any heavy snowbands, the National Weather Service said.
