Fifty-five companies are honored as part of the Best Places to Work program: 30 medium-sized companies and 25 large-sized companies.

The company received the honor in the Small/Medium Employer category. Businesses in this category have between 15 and 249 employees. Large-sized companies have 250 or more employees.

Companies are awarded the distinction based on several factors. Each company's workplace policies, procedures, and philosophy was evaluated, along with other factors. This accounted for 25 percent of a company's score.

The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure employees' experiences. This accounted for the remaining 75 percent of the score. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.
