Hurricane Ian's Impact On Wayne: Heavy Gusts, Rainfall In Forecast
Rainfall predictions have grown, but forecasters expect Wayne to receive less precipitation than most of New Jersey.

WAYNE, NJ — Forecasters expect the Wayne area to get more rain from Hurricane Ian that originally anticipated. But the township should still receive less rain than most of New Jersey this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday should remain dry, but weather officials expect rain to begin overnight in Wayne — mostly after 5 a.m. Saturday. The National Weather Service doesn't anticipate a sunny day in the township until Wednesday.
Forecasters expect about an inch of rain to fall from 2 a.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Sunday. That's better than most of the state, as weather officials anticipate 3-4 inches to fall along much of the Jersey Shore coastline. Read more: Hurricane Ian's Impact On NJ: Torrential Rains, Flooding, High Gusts
