Buzzfeed came out with its list of "Here's The One Restaurant To Try In Every State In 2018," and Chanos Latin Kitchen in Pompton Lakes was the website's choice for New Jersey.

"A great, quick-service Latin restaurant with homemade food you'll crave every day. We have tried their soups, tacos, burritos, empanadas, salads, rice bowls, and various sides — and would recommend everything," reviewer Gina M. said on Yelp!.

Others agree as Chanos has a five-star Yelp! rating based on 95 reviews.

"Great place, great food, family owned and run. Yelped because I was in the area and read how much people love it, and now I'm one of them," another reviewer said. "Couldn't recommend this place more. Clean and delicious food."

The family-owned restaurant prides itself on making food from scratch and with passion.

"There is something about Latin food that gets the taste buds going and lets the appetite run wild! It has near magical powers," Chanos' website states. "Its rich cultural history, the sense of adventure and the fun of eating with your hands."
