Jersey Central Power & Light Upgrades Circuits in Wayne
Towns across the state received circuit upgrades, one of which could help with restoration if an outage occurs.

Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) recently completed upgrades on circuits across the state, including in the township of Wayne.
Upgrades included the installation of more resilient polymer fuses, adding larger 10-foot cross-arms to increase wire clearance and installing fault indicators that help identify problem areas on a circuit which helps speed the restoration process if an outage occurs.
“These projects help modernize our system and help limit the frequency and duration of service disruptions to our customers,” said JCP&L vice president of operations Tony Hurley.
