Juvenile, Adult Killed In Wayne Crash Early Sunday: NJ State Police

Police said a minivan hit a light pole while exiting off I-80 in Wayne, causing fatal injuries to a Lyndhurst man and a juvenile boy.

WAYNE, NJ — A man and a boy died in a single-car crash on Interstate 80 in Wayne on Sunday morning, said state police.

The crash happened at 10:04 a.m. on I-80 eastbound at exit 53, according to New Jersey State Police. A Honda Odyssey driven by 46-year-old Robert Csapo of Lyndhurst went off the left side of the exit ramp and hit a light pole, said the NJSP.

Csapo and a male juvenile, who was not identified, sustained fatal injuries in the crash according to state police. Two other juveniles had non-life threatening injuries, and first responders took them to a nearby hospital, the NJSP said.

Exit 53 was closed for around four hours Sunday, and the crash remains investigation.
