Kevin Olsen, Ex-Wayne Hills Star, Leaves University of Miami After Arrest
The University of Miami released a statement saying "Kevin Olsen is no longer a student at the University of Miami."

Things have, for the most part, gone great for Wayne Hills football star Kevin Olsen. His dad, Chris, was a Wayne Hills High School football coach and his brother, Greg, is the tight end for the Carolina Panthers.
Somewhere, however, Kevin got lost in the shadows of his father and brother and is now paying for it.
Olsen has left the University of Miami after being arrested Monday for driving under the influence and possession of a fake or stolen driver’s license.

It was at least Olsen’s third infraction while on the University of Miami football team, with the other two coming in early September when Olsen failed to pass a drug test and last December for failing to follow the football team’s policy, according to NorthJersey.com.
But that’s not all.

In May of 2013, just a month shy of graduation and already a University of Miami recruit, Olsen was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident and careless driving after he crashed his car into a tree in Wayne and drove away.
On the same day he hit the tree, Olsen also hit another vehicle that was parked on a street and left the scene yet again, police said. The police report said Olsen “appeared to be under the influence of something,” yet no Breathalyzer was ever given, according to sources.
One of the charges against Olsen - leaving the scene of an accident - was dismissed. But Olsen was found guilty of careless driving and failure to report an accident. He was fined a total of $254, according to court documents.
His brother, Greg, meanwhile, is in his eighth NFL season, was the Chicago Bear’s first-round draft pick in 2007 and was named to USA Today’s First-Team-All-America roster as a high school senior.
Perhaps Greg, who also played football at the University of Miami, paved the way for his younger brother.
But instead, Kevin is paying for his actions and has left the University of Miami, where he was a backup quarterback, according to Merced Sun-Star.
