Macy's is closing its store at the Preakness Shopping Center in Wayne.
The store closure was announced Wednesday. Three of the stores are already closed, final clearance sales will soon begin or have begun at six stores, and the rest will close by the end of the year, according to a company press release. These stores are part of the 100 closings announced in August by the department store. When that announcement was made, the specific stores that were closing were not named.
The company says its Wayne location will be closed by the end of the year.

Associates at shuttered stores may have the option to transfer to nearby locations that remain open, the release said, and some full- and part-time associates will be offered severance packages.
A total of three New Jersey stores are on the list. Macy's stores in Moorestown and Voorhees are also slated to close.
