The man further indicated that he lost consciousness and control of his vehicle, which left the roadway and careened into the Delta Gas Station on 1220 Route 23 N.

Vanderee's vehicle crashed into a parked car occupied by a father and son — Jon and Luke Warbeck — and then struck Lovedeep Fatra. The crash killed all three.

The Glenwood man admitted at the time that he drove under the influence of heroin and fentanyl. His toxicology report also showed alprazolam and cocaine. Vanderee also admitted to his history of heroin abuse.

Jon and Luke Warbeck were inseparable and spent a lot of times outdoors together, their family said. Luke was a junior at Boonton High School.

Fatra moved to the United States from India for a better life and had been supporting his family back home. He was slated to quit his job at the gas station later this month to become a truck driver, according to a GoFundMe that supported his family.
