Man Kidnapped, Raped Passaic Co. Girl He Met Online: Prosecutor

The man traveled from Long Island and took her to a remote location, according to authorities.

PATERSON, NJ — A Long Island man traveled to Paterson and kidnapped and raped an 13-year-old girl, the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office said. Floiran Langumas-Montero met the girl online, where he communicated with her for several months, authorities said.

Langumas-Montero traveled at midnight Oct. 29 to pick the girl up, the prosecutor's office said. He took her to a remote location and engaged in sexual intercourse with her, according to officials.

The Farmingdale, New York, man was arrested Tuesday. He was charged with one count of first-degree kidnapping, one count of second-degree luring, one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child via sexual contact.

Langumas-Montero, 24, is detained in the Passaic County Jail. He's scheduled before a Superior Court judge for 9 a.m. Tuesday.

If convicted, Langumas-Montero faces a lengthy prison sentence. Kidnapping alone carries 25 years to life in prison, with 25 years to be served before parole eligibility.
