Man Threatened To Behead Cop In Passaic County: Prosecutor

The man threatened to lure a police captain into pulling over so he could 'pop one in his head' and chop his head off, authorities said.

PROSPECT PARK, NJ — A man threatened violence, including beheading, against a cop on June 28, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.

Jante Bagh called the Prospect Park Police Department that afternoon, according to authorities. During that call, Bagh said he would lure a police captain into a traffic stop, where he would "pop one in his head" and chop the captain's head off, the prosecutor's office said.

Bagh, 41, of Prospect Park, was charged with one count of third-degree terroristic threats and one count of harassment — a disorderly-persons offense. If convicted, third-degree crimes carry up to five years in prison.
