Man Vows To Continue Fight Against Governor Christie
Bill Brennan of Wayne filed a criminal ethics complaint against the governor regarding the 'Bridgegate' lane-closure case.

WAYNE, N.J. — The man who filed a criminal ethics complaint against Chris Christie in the "Bridgegate" lane-closure case has vowed to continue his crusade against the governor.
A judge denied William Brennan's request to appoint a special prosecutor to review the complaint due to a "lack of standing."
"The only one with standing to raise a conflict of interest is the person compromised by the conflict? This is not justice," Brennan said, calling Judge Bonnie Mizdol's ruling "an act of judicial cowardice."

Brennan said he will hold a press conference Monday morning to discuss the next steps in the case.
"They will be significant," Brennan said. "Defendant Christie has nothing to celebrate, this is not over."

Christie agreed to appear in court after getting a criminal summons for official misconduct allegations connected to the George Washington Bridge lane-closings scandal, according to court documents.
Christie was scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Hackensack, Bergen County, on Nov. 23, but Mizdol signed an order setting oral arguments for Jan. 11.
Judge Roy F. McGeady found probable cause to investigate a complaint of official misconduct against Christie related to the George Washington Bridge lane-closure scandal after Brennan filed the complaint.
"When the governor conspires to turn the power of the government against the people, it becomes a totalitarian regime and it is a crime of highest order," Brennan said Thursday after the McGeady's ruling. "A firm and direct stand against this dangerous abusive authority must be taken and an example must be made of him."
