Wayne's Manhattan Bagel Helping To Fund College Scholarship

All of the net proceeds from business on March 3 will be donated to a deserving William Paterson University student.

WAYNE, NJ — A township bagel shop is helping a local college student pay for their education.

All the proceeds from Manhattan Bagel's business on Saturday, March 3 will help fund a scholarship at William Paterson University. Wayne-area students are eligible for the scholarship.

A William Paterson committee will select a student to receive the scholarship.

Manhattan Bagel is located at 163 Hamburg Turnpike, less than a half mile from the university.

"This is the first time we have been in a position to do something so exciting that will help a college student in need," said Akram Kwaik, owner of Manhattan Bagel. "We know that Saturday is a day that people eat out and we are hoping that the entire community comes out to support this fundraiser to help us raise money for such a good cause."
