Michael Bubba Appointed To Fill Open Board Of Education Seat

Bubba lost the seat in the November Board of Education election.

WAYNE, NJ - Michael Bubba has been appointed to fill the vacant seat on the Board of Education.

Interim Executive County Superintendent Robert H. Davis appointed Bubba to the seat.

Bubba lost in November to challenger James Petrecca. Petrecca declined to accept the seat, citing personal obligations.

Davis said last month he has appointed the next highest vote-getter in a Board of Education election to a vacant seat when a candidate declines to take office. Petrecca had until the board’s Feb. 4 to accept the seat, Davis previously said.

Bubba could not be reached for comment.
