New Assistant Principal Appointed At Wayne Valley High School
The newly-appointed assistant principal, who is an alumna of the school, has taught math and computer science at Wayne Valley for 10 years.
WAYNE, NJ — District officials have appointed a Wayne Valley High School alumna and teacher as the new assistant principal, the school board and district superintendent announced.
Jaye Schaffer, who has taught math and computer science at the high school for 10 years and served as lead teacher, will join the administrative team for the upcoming 2023/24 school year.
Schaffer, who lives in Wayne with her husband and two sons, earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics secondary education from The College of New Jersey. She holds a master's degree in educational technology and leadership from Lamar University, and is working toward a certification in The Differentiated Classroom from The College of New Jersey.

District officials said that Schaffer has experience mentoring student-teachers and new teachers, and is a passionate educator who has been involved in several committees to contribute towards advancing the district's technology and education initiatives.
"As the new Assistant Principal of Wayne Valley, Mrs. Schaffer is looking forward to building strong connections with the staff and students," said district officials in their announcement. "Her goal is to bring inspiration and creativity to the learning experience, making sure that every student's journey is engaging and unique."
