New FedEx Regional Facility Will Open In Wayne Wednesday
The 163,000-square-foot facility is a regional hub for package sorting and delivery for the area.
WAYNE, N.J. — A new FedEx Ground distribution facility on Demarest Drive will open Wednesday.
The 163,000-square-foot facility is a regional hub for package sorting and delivery for Wayne Township and the surrounding area. The Rockefeller Group began constructing the facility in April. It is located immediately off of Interstate 80 near routes 23 and 46.
FedEx already operates a freight shipping facility at 25 Demarest Drive in an office park where a Drake's bakery used to be located. The area is one local officials have been trying to revitalize for years.
