New Swim School Officially Opens Its Doors In Wayne

WAYNE, NJ — A new swim school has opened in Wayne, with Big Blue Swim School announcing the grand opening of its local location on Monday.

The new facility is at Plaza Square on Hamburg Turnpike and serves families in Passaic County and across North Jersey.

The Wayne location is owned and operated by the Shree Group, a local multi-unit business ownership team with more than 30 years of experience across childcare and franchise operations.

Before opening, Big Blue Wayne hosted a Family Fun Day in June. The event invited local families to take part in kids’ activities and interactive games, visit food vendors, enjoy refreshments, enter prize giveaways, meet the team and get an early look at the swim school program.

“Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where children feel confident in the water, and parents feel supported throughout the entire process, and we’re thrilled to share that experience with families in Wayne very soon,” said Manan Shah, co-owner. “Having spent years working with families through childcare and community-focused businesses, we understand how important it is to build trust. Big Blue’s structured curriculum and individualized instruction allow each child to progress at their own pace while giving parents clear visibility into their development.”

The business said the Wayne school includes an eight-lane pool and a layout designed for young swimmers and their families. Representatives say the space was built to feel approachable and easy to navigate for families from their first visit.

Lessons are available for children ages 3 months to 12 years. The school said its curriculum was written by Olympian Tom Dolan and former American record holder Chris DeJong and is organized into four levels: Baby Blue, Bright Blue, Bold Blue and Big Blue.

The Wayne operation is led by Shah, with Regional Manager Shereena Nucum, General Manager Yesenia Barias and Assistant Manager Dawin overseeing day-to-day operations and community engagement.

The company also said it offers a Progress Promise under which students who do not advance to the next level within 24 lessons receive additional lessons at no cost until they do.
