New Wayne Council Members To Be Sworn In New Year's Day
The reorganization meeting will begin with a procession by Passaic County Pipes and Drums, and participation from local organizations.

WAYNE, NJ — Wayne Township's municipal government will begin the new year with a reorganization meeting, as council members both old and new are sworn in on Monday afternoon.
Six of Wayne's nine township council seats were on the ballot this past November, with two of those races only having one candidate. Michael Fattal, a Republican, will serve the Third Ward in place of outgoing Council President Franco Mazzei. Members will also elect and swear in a new president to preside over meetings.
The meeting is scheduled at noon on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024 at the council chambers in the Wayne Municipal Building (475 Valley Road). A procession by Passaic County Pipes and Drums will precede the meeting, while local scout groups, schools, and religious institutions are also involved in the flag salute, singing of the National Anthem and "God Bless America," and an invocation/benediction.
