N.J. Mall Store Discovers Child Porn While Fixing Computer: Cops
A New Jersey mall store discovered "disturbing" child pornography images while trying to fix a laptop computer, police said.

A 25-year-old N.J. man was arrested this week after trying to get a mall store to fix and transfer disturbing child pornography images on his laptop, police said.
Jiemin Li was arrested Tuesday after requesting a N.J. store to make the transfer.
Police made the arrests after responding to the Microsoft Store located in the Willowbrook Mall on a report of “child pornography,” police said.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the store staff/manager and were informed that an Asian male adult turned in a Microsoft laptop for repair and transfer of files to another laptop, police said.
Service technicians, on Dec. 19 around 6:25 p.m., then located a video containing “disturbing child pornography,” police said.

The suspect had instructed the service technician to move the pornographic file onto the new computer and label it “Important documents.” The suspect was schedule to return for the pickup of the computer on Dec. 21.
Background information revealed that the suspect, identified as Jiemin Li, was a foreign national on a student visa and residing in Jersey City.
Around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the Willowbrook Mall and arrested Li for possession of child pornography, police said.
Li was transported back to Wayne Police Head Quarters and processed on the criminal charges, police said.
Bail was set at $25.000 and the suspect was released after posting the bail. Immigration and Naturalization authorities and Homeland Security were notified of the arrest.
